  • Food & Beverage
    This department provides opportunities for young and old alike. Daytime positions provide the perfect opportunity for homemakers/retirees to earn extra cash. Those in high school & college can work after school and on weekends. Jobs include preparing food such as hamburgers/fries/pizza, helping to keep kitchen area clean and cashiering.
    We are looking for night time and weekend help.
  • Guest Services
    Outgoing & pleasant personality a must! This department works closely with all other departments, providing assistance during peak times. Other duties include greeter, lift line control, maintaining lodge cleanliness, customer service assistance, assisting during promotional events and group sales assistance. If you like to be "on the go" then this is the position for you!
  • Lift Operations
    If you like to work outdoors, this is the position for you. We encourage anyone 18 years and older to consider working as a lift attendant. This position allows direct involvement with our customers by assisting them to load and unload on the lifts. You'll learn the lifts operations procedures and be asked to maintain the loading and unloading ramps. For anyone ages 18 and above operator positions are available.
    We are looking for night time and weekend help.
  • Office
    Team and people oriented and excel in customer relations. This position requires someone who works well under busy times and can multi-task. Responsibilities include answering phone, email, computers, fax, typing, self starter and being methodical. A great opportunity to use your customer service skills. We encourage anyone with an outgoing personality to consider working in this position. Work one-on-one with customers selling snowpass, rental equipment, lessons and answering questions.
  • Rental Operation
    This department is a great starting position for 18 and older. You'll learn customer service skills that will be invaluable to you in the future. An energetic employee can quickly work up the ladder from assisting customers in boot selection to handing out skis or snow- boards to working on the Tech Bench.
    We are looking for night time and weekend help.
  • Ski & Ride School
    • Apprentice Instructors Training
    Experience the thrill of taking someone who has never skied or snowboarded to a place they never thought imaginable! Watch as the person you are teaching excels at a new sport! Come join the best Ski and Ride School staff the Midwest has to offer. Come to a two day, two night audition. Our clinicians will evaluate your skiing or riding as well as your teaching. No experience necessary. Upon completion of the four days, a hiring recommendation will be made.

    Clinic Dates: Tues, Dec 1 from 6pm-9pm
    Thurs, Dec 3 from 6pm-9pm
    Sat, Dec 5 and Sun, Dec 6 from 8am-1:30pm

    • Junior Apprentice Instructor Training

    Are you a Jr. looking for a great way to make some money while you’re in
    school, or looking for a first job? The Ski and Ride School of Afton Alps
    hires Jr. Instructors ages 14-17 to teach skiing and snowboarding in our
    kids programs. The Jr. Instructor Training Program is designed to teach
    would be Jr. Instructors the fundamentals of teaching, while at the same
    time help you make progress in your own skiing or riding. This is a six
    day program which includes ongoing evaluations followed by a hiring
    recommendation.

    Saturday and Sunday Dec. 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, and 20 from 10:30am - 2:30pm
    $85 program fee (includes lift tickets)

    The program fee will be applied towards the purchase of a uniform jacket if you are hired.

  • Ski Patrol
    Volunteer organization that provides assistance to skiers and snowboarders. Please contact the Patrol Representative.

  • Snow Tube Park
    If you like to work outdoors and/or indoors, this is the position for you. We encourage anyone 18 years and older to consider working as a snow tube lift attendant.   • Snowmaking (experience necessary)
    This department is responsible for the production of snow. Working outside and performing various duties in relation to our snowmaking system. Anyone with an understanding of basic mechanics and is able to multi-task.
  • The Extreme Clean Team
    This is an elite deep cleaning team.
    The goal of this team is to keep the restrooms clean, and stocked with towels, toilet paper, hand soap.
    Other duties
    Keep the entrances to buildings clean inside and out.
    Clean windows inside and outside, mirrors, ceilings, walls, doors, floors, tables, and chairs
    Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors
    Empty trash cans in and around the buildings
    Replace burned out light bulbs
    Pick up trash in and around buildings
    Make sure that we have enough trashcans and that they are placed in areas that are easy for customers to use in and around buildings
    Keep the cigarette disposals unit clean
    Shovel the walkways, patios and bridges around the chalets. Salt or sand the outside pedestrian areas when it's slippery.
