80% of a golfers handicap is within 100 yards, putting, chipping, and wedge shots. I can share a few simple tips that will lower your scores

Attention Golfers:
Due to the size of our Junior League on Tuesday's, beginning Tuesday June 28 thru Tuesday August 16 (except Tuesday July 5) our entire course will be closed from 9:00 to 11:30 am.

We recommend signing up for Thursday because the Tuesday group
has about 80 golfers signed up as of 5/11/11.

Beginner to intermediate junior golfers ages 6 to 17.
7 week program, Tuesday, June 28 – August 16,
Thursday, June 30 till August 18, 2011.
9:00 am to 11:30 am,
Price includes green fees, t-shirt and instruction covering
the basics as well as rules and etiquette of golf.
Final Day, August 16 or 18, 9:00 – 12:00 pm, golf, lunch and prizes. Experienced juniors play the regulation nine, beginners and young golfers start on the practice greens. Experienced players will get some training/tips and will play more golf. Beginners will receive more instruction, will play the par threes and some par fours. Clubs not included.

Putting 101. We will work on the fundamentals of putting while playing golf.

Junior Camps
(New Format This Season)
Beginner to intermediate junior golfers ages 6 to 17.
9am to 11:30am
Session 1, 4 day, June 20 - 23
member $70, non-member $95
Session 2, 3 day, July 11, 13, 15
member $50, non member $75
Sign up for both Pros-to-be and a camp, receive $15 off.
We plan to have four age groups 6 to 7, 8 to 10, 11 to 13 and 14 +
There will be a short introduction each day for about 15 minutes. We will have golf stations/practice areas set up and the groups will rotate through the stations. The stations will include golf grip and golf stance; golf swing with practice on hole #3; pitch shots and chipping (into targets such as plastic pools); Putting; playing a hole on the course eg. (hole #2 a par 3); golf etiquette and rules (using flash cards a fun way to learn).
Thursday will be our Tournament Day
Ages 6 to 10 will play (3 holes)
Ages 11 + will play (5 holes)
After the Tournament there will be Awards and Refreshments
We are looking for volunteers (group leaders) to help lead a group from one station to the next station. (No golf experience necessary). Please contact the clubhouse 651-436-1320 if you are available one or more days Monday thru Thursday between 8:30 and 11:30 am
