2026-2027 Program Information
The ARC (Alpine Race Club) Program is an 11 week program intended for strong skiers interested in developing their alpine racing skills. Inspired by the USSA and PSIA athlete development model, this program will have a balance of free skiing, focused drills and training in gates. This includes skill development and race tactic training. The ARC program offers athletes early morning, exclusive access to the hill.
Both ARC and JR. ARC participants will have race dates at Afton and nearby ski areas as part of Afton's ARC program.
Program registration opens on September 1st, 2026. Please note that returning participants from the 2025-2026 season are given priority to register during an early registration period. This means there may be limited spots available for new participants when registration opens.
JR ARC Program
Developed for 5 and 6-year-old skiers with strong fundamental skills, this 11-week program provides a blend of gate-training, focused drills and directed free-skiing, designed to build skiing skills through racing.
Jr. ARC participants will have race dates at Afton and nearby ski areas as part of Afton's ARC program.
Try-It Camp: ARC/Jr ARC Try-It is a a great way to determine if the program is a good fit for you! Practice Try-It day will be Sunday Dec. 6th or Jan. 3rd.

The ARC (Alpine Race Club) Program is an 11-week program intended for strong, independent young skiers, ages 7-17 (by 12/01/2026), interested in developing their skiing and racing technical and tactical skills through focused drills, gate-training and directed free-skiing.
- Choose either the Saturday or Sunday program
- We offer options for additional training:
- Extra Gate Training on Tuesday evenings
- Guided Freeski on Thursday evenings
- Afton races will be held on Jan. 30th and Feb. 20th (Saturday program) or Jan. 31st and Feb. 21st (Sunday program).
- The ARC program will offer optional travel to other races venues throughout the season. Those dates are TBD.

Have a blast racing in a relaxed, affordable atmosphere whether you are a skier or rider. Professionally organized races occur throughout the season and conclude with an end of League awards banquet. Afton offers a best in class snow racing experience.
Times are provided and posted for participants. Opportunities for post race social gatherings are back and we hope to see you there!
